This 8 Nights / 9 Days Vietnam–Thailand tour begins in Ho Chi Minh City with a full-day visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, the War Remnants Museum, Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, and Saigon Central Post Office, followed by a cruise dinner. It continues with a full-day Mekong Delta tour covering My Tho City, Thoi Son Island, Southern traditional music, sampan cruising, coconut candy and rice wine workshops, bee farm visit, fresh fruit tasting, and Vinh Trang Pagoda. The journey then continues to Hanoi for a half-day city tour including the Museum of Fine Arts / National Museum of Vietnamese History / Museum of Revolution / Museum of Military History / Museum of Ethnology (one of these), the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, the Old Quarter (36 streets), and a 30-minute cyclo ride. From Hanoi, the tour proceeds to Ha Long Bay for an overnight cruise visiting Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island, Sung Sot Cave, Titov Beach, and later Human Head Island, Tortoise Island, and Bai Tu Long Bay. After returning to Hanoi, the journey continues to Thailand, beginning with Bangkok arrival and check-in at Pattaya, including the Alcazar Show, Tiger Park, and Art in Paradise. Travelers then visit Safari World and Marine Park in Bangkok, followed by a floating market visit and city tour before departure.
Day 01
Ho Chi Minh Arrival – Full Day Cu Chi Tunnel & City Tour (B/L/D)
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to the hotel for check in (guaranteed check-in around 8 AM with breakfast). Morning, around 09:00 AM, transfer to Cu Chi, the northernmost suburban district of Ho Chi Minh City. Discover the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, once a major underground hideout and resistance base of the Viet Cong forces during the wars against the French and Americans. These hand-dug tunnels formed a vast network of multilevel passageways stretching over 120 km, reaching close to the Cambodian border. They included meeting rooms, kitchens, wells, clinics, schools, depots, trenches, and emergency exits.
Afternoon, visit the War Remnants Museum with its extensive collection of wartime exhibits. Continue to visit the exterior of Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica and Saigon Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel.

Day 02
Ho Chi Minh – Full Day Mytho (Mekong Delta)
Breakfast at hotel and travel past miles of flat rice fields, along a bustling road to the Mekong Delta, the world’s largest delta and Vietnam’s largest rice bowl.
On arrival in My Tho City, board a motorboat and navigate through intricate canals while observing the local daily life up close as well as the landscape of waterways and lush islands. Land on Thoi Son Island, where you can listen to Southern traditional music performed by native artists. Next, you will change to a Sampan boat to cruise through the narrow canals and visit households with traditional occupations of home-based coconut candy and rice-wine making. Continue travel by motorized boat to another island to visit a bee farm and taste tea with fresh honey from the beehives and enjoy fresh fruits. Interact with local residents to understand about the river life. Their economy is based mostly on tourism, mangoes, bananas and citrus fruit.
On the return to My Tho, stop to visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, a prominent local Buddhist structure built in 1850 with a unique architectural mixture of Vietnamese, Roman, Chinese and Cambodian styles characterized by a highly ornate façade. Then transfer back to hotel for free and relax.

Day 03
Ho Chi Minh – Flight to Hanoi– Half Day City Tour (B/L/D)
Morning, breakfast at hotel. Check out. Then, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport, welcome by our tour guide and transfer to local restaurant for lunch.
Afternoon: continue the tour to one of the following museums of choice namely: the Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Vietnamese History, the Museum of Revolution, the Museum of Military History or the Museum of Ethnology. Continue to the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages and outstanding Vietnamese scholars. Late afternoon, visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple located on an islet in the lake. Hoan Kiem Lake is the center point of Hanoi and home to a rare endangered giant turtle species. Its name “Returned Sword” comes from a legend of a sacred sword being lent to an ancient Vietnamese King by a holy turtle from the lake and later returned to the turtle. Shop or walk at leisure in the Old Quarter of 36 ancient streets. Enjoy 30 minutes by cyclo tour. Dinner at local restaurant. Check in. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi

Day 04
Hanoi – Ha Long – Overnight on Cruise (B/L/D)
Morning pickup at 8:00 AM from your hotel for transfer to Ha Long Bay by private transfer, which is about 160 km or 3.5-hour drive away. On the way, you will see some rural areas of the Red River Delta with plenty of chances to take photos of Vietnamese farmers working in paddy fields. Stop half way to visit a handicraft workshop of fine clothes and embroidered paintings.
Arrive in Ha Long City at 11:30 AM and check in aboard the booked junk right after the welcome drink is served. Start cruising while having lunch on board and enjoy the mighty bay view. Ha Long Bay meaning Descending Dragon Bay in Vietnamese as legend has it that it was where a holly dragon landed down from
sky. The bay, famous as one of the world’s wonders and heritage sites whose formation dates back 500 million years, consists of around 2,000 karst islands and islets scattered over an area of 1,553 km2. The bay cruise will continue with up close sighting of Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island, a visit to Sung Sot Cave and swimming stop at Titov Beach. Relax to enjoy the bay view at sunset, have dinner after, go fishing at 09:00 PM and spend a night on board.

Day 05
Ha Long – Hanoi (B/L or BR/D)
Early risers can enjoy the splendid yet tranquil view of the bay at the crack of dawn. Breathe the sea’s fresh air, feel the morning breeze and hear the sounds of birds above. Have breakfast and cruise to visit Human head shaped island and Tortoise Island. Continue to cruise into Bai Tu Long Bay to discover the adjacent bay of “The Little Dragon Bowing to His Mother” as it is named. Check out and have lunch or brunch on board while heading to shore.
