This 6 Nights 7 Days North East with Kolkata tour combines historical landmarks, cultural sites, scenic hill destinations, lakes, waterfalls, and border viewpoints across Kolkata, Shillong, Cherrapunjee, Mawlynnong, Dawki, and Guwahati. The journey begins with a full-day Kolkata city tour covering Mother House, Birla Temple, Kalighat Temple, Netaji Bhavan, the Indian Museum, and major viewpoints. Additional sightseeing includes Howrah Bridge, Belur Math, Vivekananda Setu, Dakshineswar Temple, and the Botanical Garden. The tour then continues to the Northeast, starting from Guwahati and moving towards Shillong with a stop at Umium Lake. Excursions include Cherrapunjee for Nohkalikai Falls and Mawsmai Cave, Mawlynnong for the Living Root Bridge and balancing rock, and Dawki for the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. 1st Day
Kolkata Airport to Hotel – Pickup & Kolkata Full-Day City Tour

Meet and greet on arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel and then proceed for a full-day Kolkata city tour covering Mother House, Birla Temple, Kalighat Temple, Netaji Bhavan, and the Indian Museum. (Drive Pass)

2nd Day
Kolkata – Full-Day City Tour

After breakfast, start for a full-day Kolkata city tour. Visit Howrah Bridge*, Belur Math, Vivekananda Setu*, Dakshineswar Temple, and the Botanical Garden. (Drive Pass)

3rd Day
Kolkata to Kolkata Railway Station – Drop | Guwahati Airport to Shillong – Transfer
Approx Distance: 30 km | Est. Travel Time: 1 hour
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
Arrive at Guwahati Airport and transfer to Shillong, also known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, visit the majestic Umium Lake (Barapani), where water sports are available (optional). Arrive in Shillong and check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit Police Bazaar, the biggest local market.

4th Day
Shillong to Cherrapunjee – Excursion
Approx Distance: 60 km | Est. Travel Time: 2 hours
After early breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), one of the wettest places in the world. Visit the beautiful Nohkalikai Waterfall and explore Mawsmai Cave. While returning to Shillong, visit Elephanta Falls.

5th Day
Shillong to Mawlynnong and Dawki – Excursion
Approx Distance: 120 km | Est. Travel Time: 4 hours
After early breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village.” Visit the Living Root Bridge and the natural balancing rock. Later, proceed to Dawki, a small town near the India–Bangladesh border, and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Umngot River. Return to Shillong in the evening.

Most locations offer familiar Indian dishes along with simple veg and non-veg choices. If you prefer mild flavours or basic meals, those options are usually available too. Restaurants along the route generally offer enough variety to stay comfortable throughout the trip.
